Based on the original tactical board game "Legions of Steel" designed by Clark Browning, Marco Pecota and Derrick Villeneuve, where players fight battles in a dark and dangerous environment. French Developer Studio Nyx have managed to re-create the deep and challenging set of rules, while adding slick 3D models, a clever and accessible UI and a load of new features.

Estimates, not counts — nobody publishes real player numbers for mobile games, so these are modelled from public signals. How we work them out
Nobody publishes how many people play Legions of Steel, so these figures are modelled from the public counts on Steam, Twitch. Each count stands in a roughly known ratio to a population — one Play rating per ~45 players, one Steam review per ~35 owners — and the estimates below combine those readings, weighted by how much each source can be trusted to speak for the whole game. Read the range as the answer and the headline as its middle.
Estimated daily players
~81

No source reports a live count for this game, so this is a share of the total player base — a genre assumption rather than an observation, which is why the range is wide.
Estimated total players

Not tracked for Legions of Steel: Google Play, App Store, Discord, Reddit, YouTube. A platform appears here once the game has a link to it — most mobile games have no Steam port or subreddit, so a gap is normal rather than a sign the game is small.
The Empire of the Machines is threatening the entire universe. The League of Aliens and the U.N.E. (United Nations of Earth) have banded together to defend the galaxy from the invader. Battles are raging everywhere, but it is inside the twisting corridors of the Machines underground production facilities, that the tactical upper hand is taken. And the war is won.
We estimate that about 1,600 people have played Legions of Steel — plausibly between 920 and 2.8K. Around 81 of them play on a given day, in a range of 9 and 410. Both figures are modelled from public counts on Steam and Twitch rather than published by the developer, so read them as a scale rather than as a headcount.
Yes. Legions of Steel is holding steady — it measured within a percent of where it was a week ago. We recheck every source daily, and the charts on this page show each platform's readings over time.
Nobody publishes player counts for mobile games, so we infer them. Each public count we can read is converted into a population using a documented ratio — roughly one Google Play rating per 45 people who played, one Steam review per 35 owners, one Discord member per 40 players — and the live counts (Steam concurrents, members online, Twitch viewers) are converted the same way into a daily figure. Those separate estimates are then averaged in proportion to how much each source can be trusted, which is why sources that disagree widen the published range instead of cancelling out. This page is built on 1 readings taken since August 9, 2026.
