Estimates, not counts — nobody publishes real player numbers for mobile games, so these are modelled from public signals. How we work them out
Nobody publishes how many people play Torn, so these figures are modelled from the public counts on Google Play, App Store, Reddit. Each count stands in a roughly known ratio to a population — one Play rating per ~45 players, one Steam review per ~35 owners — and the estimates below combine those readings, weighted by how much each source can be trusted to speak for the whole game. Read the range as the answer and the headline as its middle.

No source reports a live count for this game, so this is a share of the total player base — a genre assumption rather than an observation, which is why the range is wide.

Torn is a massive, text-based, multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in a fictional, crime-ridden metropolis. As a new player, you begin with nothing and are challenged to build your way up through the city's murky underworld. The game is known for its slow, long-term progression and for being a true "sandbox," where players dictate their own story. You start with a tutorial where George helps you learn the ropes a little and then you are set loose to be how you want to be. Are you going to go out and wreck havoc right away? Are you going to read as much as you can on the forums to try to beat different time limits? Will you play a different game and become known for your alternative play like a few others in the game? You get to decide what you will do. This is a game where you could spend a few seconds or hours each day and be somewhat competitive. You get out of it, what you put into it. You decide who you want to be, in Torn City!
We estimate that about 24,000 people have played Torn — plausibly between 4.6K and 2.5M. Around 1,200 of them play on a given day, in a range of 46 and 370K. Both figures are modelled from public counts on Google Play, App Store and Reddit rather than published by the developer, so read them as a scale rather than as a headcount.
Yes. Torn is growing — its player base is up 1.3% on a week ago. We recheck every source daily, and the charts on this page show each platform's readings over time.
Nobody publishes player counts for mobile games, so we infer them. Each public count we can read is converted into a population using a documented ratio — roughly one Google Play rating per 45 people who played, one Steam review per 35 owners, one Discord member per 40 players — and the live counts (Steam concurrents, members online, Twitch viewers) are converted the same way into a daily figure. Those separate estimates are then averaged in proportion to how much each source can be trusted, which is why sources that disagree widen the published range instead of cancelling out. This page is built on 2 readings taken since August 8, 2026.
