Storyline
Torn is a massive, text-based, multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in a fictional, crime-ridden metropolis. As a new player, you begin with nothing and are challenged to build your way up through the city's murky underworld. The game is known for its slow, long-term progression and for being a true "sandbox," where players dictate their own story. You start with a tutorial where George helps you learn the ropes a little and then you are set loose to be how you want to be. Are you going to go out and wreck havoc right away? Are you going to read as much as you can on the forums to try to beat different time limits? Will you play a different game and become known for your alternative play like a few others in the game? You get to decide what you will do. This is a game where you could spend a few seconds or hours each day and be somewhat competitive. You get out of it, what you put into it.
